Description
Dental Assistant in South Chicago/Pullman. Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm with extended weekly rotation noon – 8:00 pm once per week and Saturday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. Responsibilities
Maintains general cleanliness of equipment in operations, laboratory and sterilization room. Cleans and sets up instrument trays, sterilizes instruments; prepares operatories, stocks operatories with supplies. Removes oral debris by water, compressed air and vacuum devices. Mixes dental material to be used by the dentist. Receives removable prosthesis for cleaning and repair by the dentist or laboratory. Seats patients, places protective garments, lubricates lips and prepares patients. Takes patient vital signs – blood pressure and pulse. Applies Pit and Fissure Sealants. Performs coronal polishing of teeth to remove plaque and stains. Qualifications
High School diploma or its equivalent. Dental Assistant Diploma. Good communication and organizational skills. CPR Certification required and maintained. Knowledge of dental materials and equipment. Coronal polishing and sealant application certificate. Benefits
