Weekend Nursing Supervisor

Athena Health Care Systems . We are hiring a weekend Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Plymouth. Shift is every other weekend 7a-7p with weekly pay. As the nursing supervisor, you direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each shift under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. Responsibilities
Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident. Participates in developing, updating, and communicating residents\' care plans. Ensure staff are implementing care plans, performing care activities appropriately, and recognizing changes in resident status. Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under supervision. Follow physician’s orders, render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders. Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately. Review patient records daily to ensure accuracy and completeness. Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes and maintain awareness of residents on alert list; document RN assessments as needed. Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary. Administer medication according to procedure if applicable. Initiate emergency procedures as necessary. Oversee Charge Nurse and CNA performances. Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations. Other duties may be assigned by manager. Qualifications
Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in this state. Must be CPR certified. Minimum one (1) year experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related health care facility is preferable. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills. Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilize appropriately. Ability to make independent decisions when warranted and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public. Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care. Leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, policies and procedures necessary for providing quality care. Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and willingness to handle difficult residents; ability to relate information concerning a resident\'s condition and communicate effectively in emergencies.
