Overview
Flight Nurse - Up to a $65,000 Sign on Bonus! Join Our Life-Saving Team in Redding, CA as a Flight Clinician with PHI Health, providing rapid response and advanced medical transport for critically ill or injured patients. Base pay range: $28.73/hr - $41.01/hr. Location bonus up to 25% and sign-on bonus up to $65,000. Salary may vary with overtime and bonuses. This position requires active nursing licensure and relevant critical care/emergency experience. Responsibilities
Performs specialized assessments, diagnoses, therapies, and emergency treatment for patients transported by rotor-wing, fixed-wing, or ground transport. Document accurate information for assessment, treatment during stabilization and transport, and complete billing information for patient transports. Maintain effective communication with management and internal/external customers; participate in PR and marketing activities as needed. Maintain knowledge base for the flight paramedic role through meetings, chart reviews, equipment reviews, skill labs, clinical rotations, and continuing education related to critical care transport. Complete annual recurrent competency requirements; maintain active paramedic certification and other required certifications. Operate under the program Medical Director's licensure; report to the Manager of Clinical Services and National Director of Clinical Standards. Adhere to regulations and scope of practice of the local Department of Health Services. Schedule/Location
Schedule varies. Location: Redding, CA. Qualifications
Active RN license in the employing state. Minimum of three years (five years preferred) of current critical care/emergency experience. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNATC, TNCC, ITLS, or PHTLS; NRP preferred; instructor certifications preferred. CF RN within twenty-four months of hire. Flight or transport experience preferred. Complete PHI Air Medical Group education/orientation program. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively in person and by radio. Must meet weight restrictions and pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity test and drug screening. Basic computer skills for e-mail and electronic charting. Potential annual earnings: $97,452 to $139,208 ($28.73 - $41.01 per hour). Competitive pay and benefits package including shift bonuses, incentives, and safety/employee bonuses.
