Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading medical facility in Hartford, CT, to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). This is an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive primary and preventive care to underserved pediatric populations within a collaborative and supportive community health environment.

Role Responsibilities
As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be a key provider focused on improving the health and well-being of children in the community. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing full-spectrum primary healthcare services to pediatric patients, including health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of common acute and chronic conditions. Conducting comprehensive health histories and performing thorough physical examinations, interpreting findings accurately. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice and in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and performing minor procedures as credentialed. Providing patient and family education on health maintenance, chronic disease management, child development, and preventive care strategies. Maintaining timely, thorough, and accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system. Coordinating patient care effectively with team members, other departments, and community agencies/providers as necessary. Participating actively in quality improvement initiatives and complying with all organizational quality measures. Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, specializing in Pediatrics (Required). License/Registration: Valid State of Connecticut APRN license (Required); Eligibility for DEA and Connecticut Controlled Substance registration (Required). Experience: 1-2 years of experience working in a pediatric setting (Preferred); New Graduates Encouraged to Apply . Skills: Deep knowledge of pediatric NP theory and practice; Proven ability providing high-quality primary care; Cultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse populations; Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills; Strong history taking, assessment, and interpretation skills; Timely/accurate documentation abilities; Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other computer systems; Ability to make sound, evidence-based clinical decisions; Ability to coordinate care effectively (Required). Language: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (Preferred).
