Physical Therapist, Saturday Program (Adults / Full-time) - TIRR Outpatient at Kirby Glen is a full-time role with Saturdays required. The position is with Memorial Hermann Health System. Job Summary
Assesses patients, develops and initiates treatment plans based on evaluation results (which may include measurements of neuromuscular and skeletal functions). Provides direct patient care, documents findings and progress, and may assist Level II & III physical therapists and leadership with program development. May provide training and guidance to students, interns and other staff. Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians. Job Description

Saturdays required; Weekdays TBD. Full-time / 40 hours. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors or graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university-based Physical Therapy program. Licenses/Certifications:
Current or temporary license to practice Physical Therapy by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the Physical Therapy Compact Commission. Current certification in Basic Life Support. Direct Access (Physical Therapist):
Doctoral degree with a residency or fellowship program, OR licensed therapist with 30 hours of continuing competence activities in differential diagnosis. Current license to practice Physical Therapy by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the Physical Therapy Compact Commission. Experience / Knowledge / Skills
The position requires occasional/frequent pushing and lifting 75 – 100 pounds and carrying up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping and squatting Fine hand dexterity, eye-hand coordination, the ability to receive oral and written communication, and to communicate verbally and in writing Visual ability to monitor instruments, computers and equipment, recognize alphanumeric characters, distinguish colors and observe physical characteristics Principal Accountabilities
Assesses patients, performs complete evaluation, interprets findings, develops written plan of care and goals, and creates a comprehensive program to attain goals. Implements physical therapy treatment program and provides basic physical therapy treatments; supervises assistants and rehabilitation technicians; monitors progress and adjusts goals as needed; educates patient/caregiver. Communicates effectively with patients/caregivers, physicians and insurance companies. Shares relevant topics in professional settings as delegated or requested. Manages time effectively; documents in the medical record; ensures safety and adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and standards within budgetary specifications. Supports professional growth and department goals; performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates commitment to compassionate, personalized experiences and service standards. Senioriry level
