Join us as a Temporary Medical Laboratory Technician at UNC Chapel Hill (KANNAPOLIS, NC). Working under the general supervision of the Clinical Research Core Manager, this position supports the operation of the Clinical Research Core (CRC) and any clinical studies that utilize the services that the core provides. This will include supporting the following duties: Start IVs and blood draws from IVs following clinical best practices for bloodborne pathogens and SOPs Collect and process human specimens including but not limited to blood, urine, stool, and saliva. This includes but is not limited to centrifuging, aliquoting, and sample storage Compile data from study equipment and record lab results in participant files Maintain study records according to study protocols and HIPPA regulations Handle participant recruitment, eligibility screenings, and informed consent Perform anthropometric and clinical measurements including but not limited to blood pressure, height, and weight May assist in coordinating the daily operations of the Clinical Research Core May train and/or supervise other technicians in laboratory processing techniques May assist with metabolic kitchen maintenance in conjunction with Kitchen Manager Responsibilities and Requirements: Work Schedule: 40hrs/week, shift TBD Requirements: Experience with and comfortable in placing, assessing, and managing IVs for purposes of repeated blood collection. Base Pay Range:

$23.00/hr - $24.50/hr
