Hello and thank you for showing interest in our hospital! We are seeking candidates for our customer service representative position. While we do prefer experienced candidates, we also welcome those who are enthusiastic about getting into the veterinary field. We are a busy small animal practice with 7 vets who treat dogs, cats, and exotics including ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, snakes, lizards, and birds.
We are a privately owned hospital who have continued to grow in our community since we opened in 2012 - we are currently expanding our building which we are very excited about!
Responsibilities:
Checking patients in and out Answering the phone Scheduling appointments Sending and following up on emails Obtaining patient histories Preparing exam rooms Creating and maintaining medical records Client education and follow-up calls Filling prescriptions and various record keeping Maintaining positive long-lasting relationships with our clients Ideal candidates will have relevant veterinary or medical experience and possess strong customer service skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail, excellent work ethic, organizational skills, and the ability to work competently in a fast-paced environment. Veterinary receptionist experience is preferred. We have a great team of staff, and we are looking for a candidate who is reliable, kind, compassionate, energetic, and gets along well with others. We have zero tolerance for any toxic behavior. We create long-lasting relationships with our clients and their pets, so it is important for us to hire a candidate who is friendly and welcoming. With a supportive and team-based focus, we are passionate and dedicated to the highest level of patient and client care. We have a unique schedule that offers a balance of personal and work life. Our team operates on a set schedule, consisting of three 12-13 hour shifts per week. We have two teams that alternate their schedules weekly. Team A works on Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 7 am to 7:30 pm, and the following week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the same hours.
