Walgreens The Pharmacy Operations Manager is accountable for performing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, administrative activities, and ensures efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities
Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within the guidelines of authorized company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics. Responsible for the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians. Customer Experience
Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer complaints and respond to customers’ requests in a timely manner. Operations
Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care, including patient registration and prescription data entry. Complete patient and physician calls under the supervision of a pharmacist. Maintain core pharmacy workflow and drive excellence in pharmacy operations. People & Performance Management
Lead performance management of technicians, including making decisions and recommendations regarding discipline and termination. Accountable for technician hiring, on-boarding, training, and scheduling. Training & Personal Development
Maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. Maintain and enhance current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare. Communication
Communicate with pharmacy team, relaying messages from the support center or other key emails as required. Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management/ leadership experience. Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation. We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. The current salary range for this position is $22.50 per hour - $31.00 per hour.
