RiverSpring Living is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Nursing Department at the Hebrew Home at Riverdale, Riverdale, New York. This is an immediate opportunity for a full-time night shift position. Location:

Night Shift, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am, including weekends and weekdays Responsibilities

Supervisory : This position has supervisory responsibilities, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work assignments. The LPN supervises the GCT and CNA, who report directly to the LPN. Operations : Observe, record, and report resident data according to policy and procedure. Administer resident care as assigned by the registered nurse within Nursing Department guidelines. Participate in direct resident care. Direct and supervise non-professional staff as assigned. Ensure proper documentation concerning unauthorized discharges is entered in the resident’s medical record in accordance with established procedures. Perform routine charting as required and in line with charting and documentation policies and procedures. Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary, and notify the nurse manager/charge nurse of all drug and narcotic discrepancies. Develop work assignments and assist in completing tasks. Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures by all personnel, residents, and visitors. Document resident care following the nursing process and as per policy. Clinical : Participate in formulation, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans to meet geriatric resident needs under RN supervision. Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments per policy. Review medication administration records for completeness and transcription accuracy. Receive and enter physician orders on the EMR; sign off orders and transcribe to care plans as required. Prepare and administer medications as ordered. Ensure medications are administered using the 5 rights of medication administration and maintain narcotic records. Review orders to ensure timely administration and treatments as scheduled. Employee Engagement : Foster a positive working environment, promote teamwork and staff development. Address employee concerns and ensure adherence to organizational policies. Residents and Relations & Support : Coordinate with other resident services departments to maintain the resident’s total care regimen. Ensure residents are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect. Maintain a safe and healthy living environment. Greet newly admitted residents and assist with room assignments as needed. Provide resident/family teaching for self-care and care continuity. Qualifications/Skills

Graduate from an accredited LPN program. Valid New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting. Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and writing skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR). Compensation

$35.98 per hour Part of the 1199 SEIU Bargaining Unit; eligible for 1199 SEIU Benefits & Pension EEO
