Responsibilities
Maintains primary responsibility for the development and implementation of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Collaborates with multiple services and programs (e.g., Psychiatry, Psychology, Recreational Therapy, Vocational Rehabilitation, Social Work, Nursing, Pharmacy) to develop discipline-specific procedures. Oversees building safety, security, and maintenance issues and communicates needs to VANEOHS leadership. Oversees dormitory/Residential services for Homeless, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, SMI, PTSD, and substance use disorder beds; supervises specialized professional services impacting Veteran care. Develops short- and long-range goals and plans; develops and implements policies and procedures; manages administrative and programmatic resources; monitors outcomes using data-driven QA processes. Provides administrative oversight of residential program information and analytics; tracks admissions, bed management, utilization, demographics, equipment use, and patient satisfaction; develops and evaluates clinical guidelines and protocols to optimize service use. Directs the clinical work of professional staff across disciplines (psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, nurses, vocational rehabilitation specialists, peer specialists, trainees). Develops and oversees budget, program development, and program oversight. Oversees staff who assess complex psychiatric cases and high-risk diagnoses. Work Schedule
Monday–Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Qualifications
Basic Requirements: U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens as allowed by VA policy when qualified citizens cannot be recruited). Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from a school approved by the VA for the year completed. Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Residency training in an accredited core specialty program leading to board eligibility; VA faculty may require board certification for certain positions. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Subject to background/security investigation; pre-employment checks and onboarding requirements apply. Board Certification: Board certification requirements may apply in cases of supervision of medical students/residents, faculty status with affiliated medical schools, or other VA policy specifics.
