Overview
Radiographer - Per Diem role at Sturdy Health under Radiologist supervision. Perform a variety of radiologic procedures using standard, portable and/or specialized x-ray equipment. Perform C-arm procedures in the operating room and in pain clinic settings, as well as special procedure injections and fluoroscopy procedures with the assistance of a Radiologist. Technologists are required to cover on-call and holiday shifts. Per-diem technologists may be required to cover holiday shifts. Responsibilities
Perform radiologic procedures using standard, portable and/or specialized x-ray equipment under Radiologist supervision and established protocols. Conduct C-arm procedures in the operating room and pain clinic, including special procedure injections and fluoroscopy with Radiologist assistance. Cover on-call and holiday shifts as required by the department. Required Skills / Qualifications / Training / Experience
Minimum 1-2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience. Competent in routine radiologic procedures and operating room skills. Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills. Ability to slide patients on and off X-ray stretchers to X-ray table and push/pull objects greater than 20 lbs throughout the day. Ability to push and pull stretchers holding patients of various weight and body habitus. Preferred Skills / Qualifications / Training / Experience
Experience in acute care hospital setting. Synapse / PACS experience. Previous experience with Cerner is a plus. Educational Requirements
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology. License / Certification
ARRT certified. Licensure in Radiology from the state of Massachusetts. Physical Demands
Use hands to control objects, stand or sit for long periods, repeat movements, walk or run for long periods, bend or twist, see details at close range, hold and steady arms, make quick adjustments to machine controls, and use fingers to grasp or move objects; may require moving two or more limbs together while remaining in place; speak clearly and understand others; use core muscles to support the body for long periods.
