Charles Street Dental is offering a Part Time Dental Hygienist to join our collaborative dental team in Baltimore, Maryland. We are passionate about oral health and providing high-quality dental care. Our hygienists are learners and educators at heart, with our team working together to benefit our patient’s overall health. Flexible Schedule: 2-3 days per week with Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 7:30am to 4:30pm. Monday is required. Compensation and perks include a competitive hourly rate and a sign-on bonus, with opportunities for performance-based incentives. Responsibilities
Review patient medical and dental history. Proficiency with taking high-quality X-rays and training to become proficient in high-resolution digital imaging. Educate patients about oral health, oral hygiene, and oral-systemic connections. Document areas of existing restorations, identify potential concerns, and participate in co-diagnosis with the team. Administer prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, and delivery of antimicrobial agents. Conduct oral cancer, saliva, and caries risk screenings; recommend treatments and therapies. Train to become proficient in digital scanning, advanced diagnostics, periodontal therapies, and related technologies. Collaborate with a team of medical and dental providers to support patient outcomes. Educate patients on treatment plans, insurance, and payments. Participate with the business team on hygiene scheduling and maintain a positive rapport with patients and team members. Qualifications
Active Maryland Hygienist license required. Current BLS/CPR certifications. Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training. Minimum 1 year of RDH clinical experience preferred; new grads are welcome to apply. Strong communication and knowledge of overall dental health for patient education. Ability and willingness to learn therapy treatments through training. Benefits and Incentives
Hourly compensation: $65 to $70 per hour, based on experience with potential for monthly incentives based on hygiene production. Sign-on bonus available up to $5,000.
