About the Unit

38-bed Surgical Progressive Care Unit

1:4 RN-to-patient ratio

Specialties include urology, plastics, skin flaps, and extensive wound care

10+ specialty beds for advanced wound management (including quadriplegic patients)

Supportive team environment and leadership invested in your success

Your Role As a Surgical Progressive Care Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care using critical thinking and clinical expertise. You'll be responsible for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with nursing standards and Florida's Nurse Practice Act.

You'll also collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective, compassionate care that meets each patient's unique needs.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates or Bachelors preferred)

Experience:

1 year of recent experience in a medical/surgical role.

Certifications: Current Florida RN License; BLS Certification (AHA), valid for at least 90 days post-hire. Additional certifications may be required by unit. Preferred but not required: WCC, CWS, or CWCN.

Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
