Overview The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.
Responsibilities Supervise nursing operations of a Labor & Delivery unit. Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director. Lead and coach nursing staff. Foster a culture of excellence and patient safety.
Required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with 3 years of experience in a clinical area and at least 1 year in the area of specialty OR
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 2 years of experience in a clinical area and at least 1 year in the area of specialty
Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
Preferred
Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units
