Federal Work Study Eligible? Posting Number ST000672 Position Title Student Patrol Officer, Campus Safety Department Campus Safety Division Student Affairs and Athletics Supervisor Ashley Klco Supervisor Title Director of Campus Safety Description of Job Duties
Provide security services to the college community by enforcing College policies, patrolling campus, and securing assigned areas or buildings.
Escort students and employees around campus and/or to the remote parking lot
Assist students, employees, and approved guests by unlocking buildings or residence hall rooms as appropriate.
Enforce state, local and college parking rules and regulations. Apply vehicle immobilization boot per department protocol. Have a working knowledge of the policy and procedures for towing vehicles.
Assist with evacuations when fire alarms sound and direct individuals to safe areas in the event of severe weather.
Complete a Daily Activity Report/Log and other paperwork as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Campus Safety.
Provide vehicle jump-starts to employees and students, as needed and/or call for assistance.
Provide vehicular traffic and/or crowd control during scheduled activities, special events or during emergencies as necessary.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Do the job duties for this position include any driving requirements? Yes Job Qualifications
Current NCC student in good academic standing.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Able to communicate clearly and concisely over a radio, in person, and in writing.
Consistently demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills in dealing with people both internal and external to the College.
Must be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and time management skills.
Work efficiently as a member of a staff where cooperation and teamwork are essential.
This position will be required to work both inside and outside in varying weather conditions.
Will this position be working with minors? Yes Approximate number of work hours per week 10
