Adjunct Faculty Reports to:
Dean of Social Sciences & Humanities Olympic College is recruiting an adjunct faculty member to join the Social Sciences & Humanities Division with the OC Film School. The position is part-time Filmmaking faculty, teaching primarily FILM 240, Acting for the Camera, and other FILM classes as determined by the discipline faculty. This position requires in-person instruction with day-wide availability between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Olympic College seeks faculty dedicated to student-centered learning and to fostering an equitable and inclusive educational environment. The college values diversity and equity and seeks candidates who employ culturally responsive pedagogy and mentor minoritized student populations. The OC Film School features a media production studio, editing suites, a sound stage, film production equipment, a screening theatre, and Mac computers with industry software. The program grants Bachelor's and Associate degrees in Filmmaking and is taught by current and former industry professionals. Essential Functions
Teach evening, distance, and in-person classes at Shelton; Bremerton, and Poulsbo campuses when requested. Provide quality teaching, including preparation, grading, and record-keeping. Provide class syllabi to students by the first day of classes and to the division office as requested. Identify individual learning needs and adjust learning environments accordingly. Punctually communicate with students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
An MA (MFA preferred) in Acting/Directing or a related field. Minimum 2 years of college-level teaching experience in film acting and scene study or related courses. Preference for background in Stanislavski System, Meisner technique, directing experience, and strong ties to the profession. Working knowledge of video equipment used in class; editing skills are a plus. Recent experience as an actor or director in feature films and/or episodic content or web series. Preference for SAG-AFTRA, AEA affiliations, and recent film credits. Commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population. Desired Qualifications

Conduct instruction for clustered classes of different levels. Stay current in Filmmaking trends and theories. Deliver instructional content with enthusiasm and adapt methods to promote student success. Demonstrate commitment to teaching diverse learners and use diverse resources and voices. Incorporate accessibility and universal design in course materials and activities. Communicate effectively in writing and orally with colleagues and students. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students as part of the OC Film School. Utilize technology and the College-approved LMS to deliver course content. Uphold Olympic College values and ethics in a positive climate. Demonstrate ability to teach production courses at the college level. Additional Information
Terms of Employment:
This is an adjunct position contracted on a quarterly basis, with pay on the faculty salary schedule commensurate with education and experience. Evening/weekend classes and travel to campuses or clinical sites may be required. Positions are reviewed quarterly; applying does not guarantee a position. Benefits:
