About the Program

Care Initiatives is now accepting applications for exceptional leaders to join our paid Administrator‑In‑Training (AIT) Program! Our AIT program offers a great opportunity to launch and grow a career in administration and operations while learning from successful industry leaders. Our unique, hands‑on, learn‑as‑you‑earn program will equip you with tools and resources that promote a successful career in long‑term care (LTC). Under the direction and oversight of an experienced Administrator, you will learn from leaders across the organization and apply your knowledge to advance into a future Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) role. The program rotates you throughout various departments within our skilled nursing facilities, exposing you to policies, procedures, compliance with CMS and Iowa regulations, and the inner workings of senior living financials. With this proactive investment in you, we aim to help you successfully lead a “skilled nursing community” once licensed. Care Initiatives is a nonprofit proudly serving the community through 43 senior‑living facilities, two Assisted Living communities, seven Independent Livings, and seven hospice hubs throughout Iowa, with expansion into Omaha, Nebraska. We are the largest senior‑living provider within the state of Iowa. Requirements

Be flexible and adaptable. If you are an out‑of‑state candidate, you must be willing and able to relocate to Iowa to participate in our AIT program. Upon successful completion, you must be willing and able to relocate permanently within our state to put your LNHA license into action. Obtain an Iowa LNHA license within one year of hire. Offer flexibility to relocate within Iowa. While we have metropolitan locations, the majority of our 40+ communities are predominantly in rural markets. We seek individuals who are willing, able, and may have prior experience serving in a rural capacity, and who may serve within more than one region. Have a valid driver’s license and be insurable; an MVR check is required. Qualifications
