Indiana University Health . Position Summary: Shift: PRN - part-time, this position will require 23 or fewer hours per week as needed. This position requires completion of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Duties include conducting rounding, foot and vehicle patrols in and around properties owned, leased, or occupied by IU Health. Respond to calls for service, enforce IU Health rules, regulations, policies, and state statutes. Provide guidance to team members, guests, and patients. Assist in de-escalating tense or emotional situations. Work proactively to prevent crime and safety incidents. Respond to and investigate criminal activity and vehicle crashes as needed. Maintain records, logs, and complete reports. Perform physical security screening as required. Create a safe healthcare environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: - High School Diploma/GED. - 0-3 years of relevant experience. - Valid non-restricted Indiana Driver's License. - Successful completion of Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Tier I or Tier II training within one year of appointment. - Ability to obtain NCIC/ICAS certification and access. - No convictions for felony, domestic violence, or violent misdemeanors. - Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological assessment. - Working knowledge of computers and software.
