Overview
The Executive Chef is responsible for the efficient operation of the culinary division, ensuring alignment with Hyatt brand standards and service excellence. This position is dedicated to positioning our restaurants in the market as trendsetters in cuisine, offering authenticity, tradition, and refinement that exceed the expectations of local markets, hotel guests, owners, and stakeholders. The Executive Chef directs the development of the culinary staff and the overall culinary strategy to ensure exceptional dining experiences across all outlets. Organization
Grand Hyatt Kauai This position is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This position reports to the General Manager and/or Hotel Manager. Salary Range - $151,300 - $242,300 All qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status. Qualifications
5 years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience (typically with Hyatt) with multiple food and beverage venues and events Must have resort or international experience at the Executive Chef level Demonstrated ability to show creativity in execution of culinary experiences Proven leadership skills Experience managing a budget, including food costs, efficient purchasing, labor costs Ability to forge and maintain positive relationships with vendors and industry partners Service oriented style with professional presentations skills Advanced culinary skills including food preparation, flavor pairings and other cooking best practices Current knowledge of trends in the restaurant industry Experienced training, developing and supervising staff Exceptional leadership skills, including motivation and goal-setting Must be knowledgeable in food safety, department of health guidelines and ecosure standards Job details
