The Master Stylist is responsible for engaging with guests, consulting on hair care needs, and delivering high-quality services. This role requires a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable). Meet or exceed a weekly sales goal of $1,250 in hair services and productivity goals by delivering exceptional guest service and contributing to store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty. Perform product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and enhance guest service. Support the execution of in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives that deliver an unrivaled guest experience. Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits to better serve guests. Maintain prompt, regular attendance. People
Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations. Serve all guests, including walk-ins, in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with skin therapists and the retail team to provide a total-store guest experience. Establish professional peer and brand partner relationships to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program with guests in the salon and salesfloor. Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for continuous professional development. Process
Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards. Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures; ensure compliance with state board guidelines. Follow established service protocols to ensure a consistent and exceptional guest experience. Utilize booking and clientele systems to book guests for return services and events. Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager to ensure guest readiness at all times. Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of the salon, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, break area, and other areas as assigned. Adhere to the Ulta Beauty dress code. Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service. Execute other operational tasks as directed. Job Qualifications

Previous relevant work experience is required Skills
Proficiency with latest salon techniques for performing haircutting, color, styling, texture, treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (where applicable) and/or the ability to develop skills across service categories. Proficiency with equipment and chemicals used in technical work. Proficiency to demonstrate, recommend, and sell professional hair care and makeup products. Strong communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to build and maintain customer relationships and clientele. Ability to work flexible hours and accommodate guests’ needs. Special Position Requirements
Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Working Conditions
Continuous mobility during shift. Ability to lift and move up to 10 lbs. during shift. Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting; ability to stand for long periods. Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift. Pay range: $16.50 - $22.90 per hour, plus service pay. Exact pay will be based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, and location.
