Commercial Liability Claims Specialist role at Erie Insurance Group. Division or Field Office: Indiana Branch Office. Department: Claims Department. Work From: home in Indianapolis, IN or Northern IN. Salary Range: $77,638.00 - $124,019.00 (range may vary based on actual level of role). Position may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Responsibilities

Exercises independent discretion in handling complex and/or high exposure commercial liability claims and commercial litigation. Investigates, evaluates, and makes recommendations regarding coverage, liability, and resolution strategies. Handles or assists in litigated claims as directed; makes recommendations regarding litigation as appropriate. Responds to complaints and inquiries and resolves issues. Selects and directs outside experts and vendors. Trains and mentors less experienced staff. Completes required training. Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Five years of previous claims handling experience or equivalent experience in the legal field required. Licenses: Adjuster license required for KY at time of hire or within 45 days if external and 90 days if internal hire; other state licenses as needed based on business needs. Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Designations: Associate in Claims (AIC) and CPCU designations preferred. Work Details

Residency: Must reside in the state of IN, specifically Indianapolis, IN or Northern IN. Work Arrangement: Remote work from home position; company vehicle provided. Travel: Willingness to travel for field inspections of commercial liability losses, litigation proceedings (mediation, trials), and required training/meetings. Physical and Other Requirements

Use of PPE as required. Ability to move up to 50 lbs with lifting assistance; climbing/accessing heights; driving; and other listed physical tasks may be required. Manual data entry and computer use; ability to push/pull/move objects with wheels; other related duties as needed. Benefits
