This position is responsible for the review, analyses and processing of all Expense Reports and Travel Reimbursement Vouchers. Responsible for the on-line data entry of all commitments related to travel authorizations. Requires thorough knowledge of State and University regulations concerning travel reimbursements. Authorizes travel advances, works closely with travel agencies and Diners Club to coordinate payment of airline tickets. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 2 or more years of job related experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of State government travel regulations. Ability to analyze and interpret complex travel data and reports. Ability to plan, organize, and review work. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of PeopleSoft desired Job Duties and Essential Functions

Audits, calculates and processes payments of all Expense Reports and Travel Reimbursement Vouchers (TRV’s) for travel by USC faculty, staff, students and non-employee personnel. Ensuring compliance with all University policies and procedures as well as State guidelines governing travel regulations. Enters Travel Reimbursement Vouchers into PeopleSoft and responsible for verifying accuracy and completeness of these documents.

Percentage of Time: 30 Review and audit travel authorizations upon receipt in the Controller’s Office for completeness, accuracy and signatures. Batches them for entry. Upon completion of the audited batches, responsible for the on-line data entry of all travel authorizations. Reviews all aged commitments that remain outstanding and takes appropriate action.

Percentage of Time: 25 Review, analysis and match invoices from numerous travel agencies to the corresponding travel authorization and to the corresponding item on the USC Diners Club statement. Ascertains approvals for payment and prepares vouchers for payment. Ensuring all payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
