Responsibilities The Department of Pathology at the University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile is currently recruiting for a part-time BC/BE Pediatric pathologist. Alabama license is required. The opening is for an assistant/associate/full professor on a clinical track. Additional information about the department is available at www.usahealthsystem.com/pathology. The Division of Anatomic Pathology handles about 17,000 surgical and 4,500 cytology cases a year and it is expanding rapidly. The Division of Anatomic Pathology serves USA Health University Hospital, USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, and the USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute. The two hospitals are licensed for 550 beds combined. Molecular/next generation sequencing, cytogenetics, immunohistochemistry, FISH, and electron microscopy laboratories are part of the sophisticated menu of tests available. The Department has a combined residency training program in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with 12 residents. We offer an outstanding compensation package.
