Overview
KCBS and KCAL in Los Angeles, the #2 market duopoly in the Paramount portfolio of television stations, is looking for a dynamic, innovative, and experienced meteorologist to join our Next Weather team. This is a per diem position in the AR/VR studio. Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver weather reports and forecasts for on-air and on digital platforms at regularly scheduled times, either live or recorded. Deliver severe weather updates as needed. Analyze weather data and synthesize the information into clear, easy-to-understand graphics. Present weathercasts from the AR/VR studio or on-location. Requirements
A degree in Atmospheric Science or Meteorology Must be skilled with telling a comprehensive and clear weather story, especially during extreme weather events Must be skilled at posting weather-related information on social media channels Must have 5+ years of related experience NWA and/or AMS Certified meteorologist preferred About CBS News and Stations
