Overview

Under the general direction of the Office Chief for Real Property Services, the Senior Right of Way Agent (SRWA) in Real Property Services (RPS) acts as Region/District Liaison who will provide guidance and assistance to Regions/Districts and must possess a working knowledge of the Right of Way Property Management Data System (RWPMS) and the Excess Lands Management System, in addition to the Right of Way Management Information System 2 (ROWMIS 2). The SRWA participates in policy development and active management of the Department's Property Management, Airspace, Excess Land Sales, and Clearance & Demolition programs. The SRWA will also have a particular focus on the 710 Affordable Sales Program and the implementation of affordable housing in conjunction with Executive Order N-06-19.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and assistance to Regions/Districts related to Right of Way operations. Support policy development and active management of Property Management, Airspace, Excess Land Sales, and Clearance & Demolition programs. Focus on the 710 Affordable Sales Program and implementation of affordable housing in coordination with Executive Order N-06-19. Maintain working knowledge of RWPMS, Excess Lands Management System, and ROWMIS 2. Participate in related program and data management activities as part of Real Property Services.

Qualifications and Eligibility

Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Senior Right of Way Agent exam. For those without current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil service employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible. To apply for the exam, search by classification title in the appropriate portal. Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Include a 1-2 page SOQ (12-point font) answering the questions specified in the Special Requirements. Resumes and cover letters will not replace the SOQ. Failure to include the SOQ may result in disqualification for interview. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle. Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If basing eligibility on education, include unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification. Foreign transcripts/degrees require a U.S. equivalency evaluation and the evaluator must be included.
