We are looking for an experienced Echocardiography Technician II (Echo Tech II) to join our team! In this role, you will operate high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) and other noninvasive echocardiography equipment to capture detailed heart images. This position requires advanced knowledge and specialized skills to support diagnostic and therapeutic services for a designated patient population. Responsibilities:

Perform Echocardiogram, carotid, and peripheral vascular studies to examine heart valves, chambers, and blood vessels to produce images. Evaluate the various valves and chambers of the heart and make appropriate measurements. Perform imaging and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations, including exercise tolerance tests, electrocardiograms, stress tests, and transesophageal echocardiography. Obtain patient history, explain procedures, address patient concerns, and follow established pre-screening protocols. Determine appropriate methodology and techniques, arrange immobilization/support devices for proper patient positioning, and select appropriate imaging devices. Recognize potentially serious conditions (e.g., pericardial effusion, intracardiac tumor, thrombi) and alert the physician. Maintain echocardiography and other equipment in efficient operating order; perform minor preventative maintenance and contact outside service for major malfunctions. Maintain inventory control, storage, and routing of supplies. Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Associated degree in Cardiovascular Ultrasound Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training Minimum Experience: 2 years’ experience performing M-mode and 2-dimensional echocardiograms, as well as Doppler studies Required Certification/Licensure: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), and/or Registered Cardiac Sonography (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) BLS Card from the American Heart Association City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
