Clearance Requirements
Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance.
Education
High school diploma
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Licenses or Certifications
DoD 8570.01-M IA Workforce Certification, IAM I approved baseline certification, CompTIA Security+ CE (preferred)
Valid U.S. Driver’s License
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides security oversight and ensures compliance with all Performance Work Statement (PWS) directive requirements for the Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
The Contractor Special Security Representative (CSSR), under the direction of their supporting Special Security Officer (SSO) is responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of security programs for Collateral, SCI activities
Required to routinely interface with all levels of management and Government customers
Administers/Implements/Manages/Audits security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material
Develops/implements/manages security policies, procedures, processes, and best practice standards specific to program requirements such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Concept of Operations (CONOPs), etc.
Conducts or supports internal company and/or other customer security assessments
Participates in technical meetings with internal/external customers
Assist security incident/violation investigations and formally reports investigation results
Duties may include reviewing, monitoring, preparing, or updating RMF artifacts for assessment packages, as necessary
Identifies security vulnerabilities and implements countermeasures
Develops and conducts Security training/briefs
Maintains TEMPEST documentation, drawings and forms.
Ensures constant compliance with TEMPEST Red/Black signal line, power, and equipment separation requirements
Monitors SCIF personnel for prohibited items, policy violations, and unsafe practices
Accomplishes CSSR annual checklist and retains current checklist in the SCIF Binder
Conducts self-inspections and gathers/updates pertinent security documentation for inclusion into SCIF binder
Oversees visitor control program and administers the access control program
Performs other duties not limited to general housekeeping, safety, and environmental practices, maintaining data/logs/files, and complying with security policies, PWS directive publications, and other security manuals and guidance
Serves as the security point of contact for the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
Must be able to work inside a cleared facility and monitor all activities in the SCIF
Supports all users of the SCIF and JWICS systems
The position will provide day-to-day security support for JWICS operation
Acts as alternate Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
Completes ancillary training and participates in exercises
Required Skills/Experience
Experience with Physical Security planning, implementation and measures as applied to the operations of a Department of Defense Secure Compartmented Information Facility
Experience with the operations of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) Manual DoDM 5105.21 V1, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual Administration of Information and Information Systems Security
Experience with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 V1.5, Technical Specifications for Construction and Management of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities
Experience with United States Space Force (USSF) SCIF Manager Handbook or equivalent document
Experience creating and maintaining DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages and associated artifacts
Experience identifying risks associated with removable media, unauthorized electronic devices, photographic equipment and related items
Classification management experience to include Security Classification Guide (SCG) interpretation for derivative classification decision-making purpose
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Communications-Electronics Manager and LAN Manager.
Work Environment
Expected to be able to lift 50-pound loads with assistance on occasion in a normal working office environment and may work extended hours on weekends and holidays.
Normal office environment. May work extended hours or weekends. May travel overnight or on weekends.
Physical Demands Walking, siting, typing, bending and lifting items as required within position requirements.
