Job Summary:
The Assistant Restaurant General Manager (ARGM) works under the direction of the Restaurant General Manager. The ARGM is responsible for day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the implementation of Church’s initiatives, supporting financial sales and profitability plans, and handling all bank, payroll, and administrative duties.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Assists RGM in ensuring all employees are trained.
Assists RGM in maintaining appropriate staffing and preparing weekly schedules.
Helps staff during high‑volume periods as needed.
Assists in administering all paperwork in a timely manner.
Analyzes profit and loss statements to meet established sales goals.
Maintains accurate inventory records.
Enforces all company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Maintains a clean facility at all times and delivers consistent, high‑quality products daily.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience)
Minimum age 18 years.
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.
ServSafe® food safety training highly recommended.
Position Qualifications / Functional Skills
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including flexible shifts and weekends.
Knowledge of restaurant policies, practices, and HR procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism with all stakeholders.
Proficiency with profit and loss statements.
Ability to implement policies and procedures.
Coaching, counseling, and development of employees.
Commitment to continuous customer satisfaction improvement.
Recruiting and interviewing potential team members.
Supervisory and conflict resolution skills.
Positive work environment creation and maintenance.
Build a Strong Guest Culture
Exceeds guest expectations and sets the highest priority for guests.
Acts as a role model by providing exceptional guest service.
Promotes urgency in satisfying guests.
Investigates and resolves guest complaints regarding food quality or service.
Establishes a friendly, welcoming restaurant environment.

Promotes a team environment through respect, coaching, feedback, and recognition.
Hires, trains, and develops the right people while planning staffing levels.
Displays exemplary onboarding and orientation practices.
Facilitates good teamwork by understanding team dynamics.

Maintains Quality And Safety Focus
Ensures all food products are prepared consistently with Church’s high quality standards.
Applies food preparation and production principles in accordance with Church’s specifications.
Meets health, safety, and sanitation requirements and federal, state, and local standards.
Follows all cash and security procedures to maximize safety.
Maintains safe, obstruction‑free dining and work areas.
Drives Results
Establishes clear, achievable goals and communicates each team member’s role.
Gets results personally and from teams by holding team members accountable for results.
Regularly audits guest service and food safety practices using company tools.
Encourages and supports staff in meeting or exceeding desired goals.
Provides clear and timely feedback on performance.
