Responsibilities
Provide friendly, courteous service: greet customers, make eye contact, and answer questions with knowledge and respect. Maintain a safe shopping environment: stay aware on the sales floor, keep egress clear, and report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership. Assist customers with merchandise and transactions: be register-trained and respond promptly to customer service needs. Represent and support the Ross brand at all times. Perform cleaning tasks to maintain store cleanliness and present merchandise per guidelines. Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code. Execute daily merchandising tasks, sizing, recovery, and timely replenishment of new receipts to the sales floor according to monthly guidelines. Understand Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards. Safeguard confidential information and assets; follow MOS policies for merchandise disposal and proper cash handling procedures. Demonstrate urgency and maximize productivity by following store best practices. Competencies

Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments. Physical Requirements / ADA
Ability to use store equipment, including PDAs, registers and PCs as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; to lift more than 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies. Stockroom shifts may require pushing/pulling and lifting more than 20 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities
