Safety Specialist

ensures Adams Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, including State and Federal regulations, are adhered to by the assigned project leadership personnel. Provides or identifies safety-related training, oversees adherence to construction safety norms, etc. Answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Duties And Responsibilities – Essential Functions

Perform Construction Site and Safety Audits, e.g., Adams Project Site Safety Inspection. Participate in project handoff programs and processes, including site preparation and team acclimation. Document inspections and suggest corrective measures via Adams information systems. Conduct quality control inspections ensuring safety forms/inspections are completed. Ensure project sites are equipped with safety apparatus, PPE, potable water, latrines, first aid, etc. Advise field leadership on maintaining a safe working environment and complying with safety regulations. Assist in enforcing safety policies and environmental health guidelines. Train project personnel on health and safety topics. Provide technical surveillance and testing services as required. Enforce Adams Safety policies and procedures. Perform scheduled safety audits and assist with incident investigations. Provide in-house safety training, including OSHA courses, First Aid/CPR, equipment safety, etc. Maintain training certification records. Attend safety meetings professionally. Externally

Build relationships with field staff, project managers, and contractors. Maintain professional relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with Adams’s Safety Program. Job Specifications

Deep knowledge of Adams Electric Company EHS Manual and OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1926 and 1910). Knowledge of NFPA 70E. Skills in record management, safety training programs, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to prioritize, communicate professionally, and train groups. Requirements

NFPA 70E – Electrical Safety Qualified Person. At least two years of safety coordination experience at a major construction site. This job description is not exhaustive and duties may change. Additional Details
