In this role, you'll help ensure the café runs smoothly while upholding food safety standards and fostering a warm, welcoming environment for our guests. Responsibilities

Make sure meal service runs smoothly and efficiently during open hours. Support volunteers by guiding them on food safety, customer service, and job-specific tasks. Regularly check food temperatures and sanitation to meet health standards. Help serve meals promptly, ensuring seniors’ dietary needs are met and guests are satisfied. Promote a positive team environment by modeling great customer service, food quality, and teamwork. Greet guests warmly, address concerns, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Monitor guest feedback and resolve complaints or suggestions to improve the dining experience. Manage reservations and pre-ordered meals, ensuring they’re accurate and prepared on time. Keep track of food supplies, place orders when needed, and ensure adequate inventory. Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Experience in food service or hospitality (e.g., serving, prep, or kitchen support). Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Bonus If You Have These Skills

Comfortable guiding volunteers and supporting a team environment. Organized and detail-oriented, especially with inventory and meal tracking. The manager must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during meal preparation and service. The role requires lifting and carrying items such as food supplies, boxes, and kitchen equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. The manager must be able to bend, stoop, and reach to access storage areas and assist with cleaning tasks. The position involves repetitive motions such as chopping, stirring, and dishwashing. The manager must have the physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak meal times. The ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, such as falls or medical incidents, is essential. The manager will work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and cooking odors. The manager may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and must follow safety procedures when using them. The position requires maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a potentially noisy or busy setting.
