Adjunct Instructor, Biology

Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to teach biology courses to support the biology degree program curriculum requirements. The candidate should have knowledge of and experience in their selected teaching discipline, as well as experience with instructional technologies to support classroom activities. Additionally, they should demonstrate the ability to create a positive learning environment that supports student success. Essential Job Functions Teach lecture and/or laboratory courses for the Department. Commitment to undergraduate teaching. Ability to use instructional technology, including online learning management systems such as Canvas or Blackboard. Prepare and deliver relevant course content using diverse teaching methods and assessments. Ensure students achieve mastery of learning objectives. Deliver course content, prepare materials and lesson plans, and address student questions and concerns. Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic performance according to university policies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or higher with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Biology or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with college-level students and students from diverse backgrounds.
