JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic customer accounts, with our automotive OEM customers. This position serves as the primary interface between the customer and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies, contract negotiations, commercial issue resolution, and long-term customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, lead the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, and drive growth in revenue and profitability. Work with cost estimating and engineering to develop a pricing strategy, review the internally developed quotes/cost breakdowns, submit and explain them to the customer; provide the voice of the customer back to the company and lead the team in winning profitable new business. Monitor customer score cards and assist the company in maintaining excellent performance. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customer purchasing, engineering/program management, and supplier quality. Account Management: Manage day-to-day commercial activities on pre-production, production, and post production (service) programs including:

Ensuring pricing accuracy for example, with engineering changes, directed component pricing changes, and commodity/currency index program pricing Ensuring that purchase orders are in place to support timely tooling invoicing Ensuring commercial claims/cost recoveries are processed on time and in compliance with OEM terms and conditions

Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, tooling, engineering changes, and cost recoveries to achieve company targets. Program Launch Support: Collaborate with program management, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful launches and resolve customer issues. Forecasting & Planning: Collaborating with sales operations, ensure program extensions and volume changes are communicated through the company and incorporated into the sales forecast. Collaborating with the sales director to assist in developing revenue targets and business plans for assigned accounts. Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer strategies to provide strategic input. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field. 3–5+ years of experience in automotive sales, account management, or commercial roles within a Tier One supplier. Strong knowledge of OEM commercial processes and automotive program lifecycles. Proven negotiation and contract management skills. Ability to manage multiple programs/accounts and work cross-functionally. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Experience managing accounts for automotive OEMs (GM, Ford, Nissan, Stellantis) Experience with products using injection molded plastic. Understanding of automotive quality systems (IATF 16949) and APQP processes. Ability to analyze cost structures and margins. A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 26 on the cognitive portion). TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This position typically does require up to 10% travel.
