Wage

Total pay for this position can range from $15/hour, depending on performance (with commissions and incentives included).

Schedule

Must be available to work 1pm to 9pm Monday through Friday and be able to work on an every other weekend rotation. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays; must be available a minimum of two weekends a month. Average hours per week: 20.

Responsibilities

Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile Grow personal sales by meeting minimum goals and following Scheels professional salesmanship standards to provide an above-and-beyond customer experience Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits Engage in conversation with customers and assist them in making buying decisions Demonstrate a passion for products in our store Attend all Scheels product training and all store meetings Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor Assist in all other assigned duties Perform basic math; compute rate, ratio and percent; interpret bar graphs Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization Be willing to help with freight/stocking when needed Demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights of greater than 6 ft

Education & Experience

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and/or 1-3 months of sales experience.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform duties to minimize injury risk.
