Overview
Join the Pharmaceutical Calibrations and Instrumentation (PCI) team. We are seeking a Calibration Technician III to perform calibrations onsite at client pharmaceutical facilities in Norwood, MA and other sites in the area as needed. This is a field service position with up to 50% travel, projected to be at least 75% in the Boston metro area. Responsibilities/Assignments
Under supervision, complete calibrations and qualifications in a safe, timely, and accurate manner, following PCI and client-specific policies and proposals. Able to perform, with guidance, basic pressure, temperature, humidity, time, and CO2 calibrations. Complete calibrations, qualifications, and PMs with accurate and timely GxP documentation, following PCI and/or client policies and procedures. Support the Team and provide client support; build a high level of trust with internal and client personnel by upholding PCI values (Honesty, Integrity, Pride, Accountability, Teamwork, and Commitment). Maintain a neat and professional PCI work area and project a professional image on-site and in office environments. Ensure safety in all tasks; PCI work areas must be safe and organized. Manage timesheets and expense reports weekly with accurate labor and expense codes. Identify project supply and equipment needs and communicate needs to appropriate resources to ensure availability. Understand client needs and requirements through effective communication and develop client relationships through excellent customer service. Complete scheduled calibration and maintenance events (90-95% of work time) and ensure proper handling of PCI and client-owned equipment. Help others with timekeeping accuracy and assist PCI Associates in proper coding of time and expenses. Report safety issues and educate peers on safety practices. Develop client relationships through effective communication and provide high-quality client service. Manage small projects and supervise technicians on those projects; identify value-added opportunities at client sites and share leads with PCI leadership. Develop basic quotes or proposals; assist with development of complex proposals. Demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy, and tact; interact with all levels of management and clients. Remain open to new opportunities for PCI when at client sites and relay leads to leadership. Complete timesheets with correct labor codes; assist others in proper coding of time and expenses. Handle PCI and client equipment with care and train others on proper use and handling. Ensure safety practices are followed by PCI Associates. Plan and ensure project supplies and equipment are ready and available; coordinate with company resources to meet project needs. May assist in PCI onboarding and mentor technicians through professional actions/ethics and technical skills. Be familiar with all PCI service offerings and explore potential leads at client sites. Calibration Technician III
(in addition to the above): Expanded knowledge of instrumentation and regulatory compliance; continue training on new instrumentation areas; understand pharmaceutical and FDA requirements. Identify and execute tasks to enhance PCI value and provide guidance on technical issues; troubleshoot and offer long-term solutions. Proficient in identifying safety issues and maintaining safe work practices. Professional in communication with clients and colleagues; able to manage relationships and expectations. Ability to climb stairs and equipment; moderate to heavy lifting. General electrical panel knowledge and electrical safety procedures. Working knowledge of MS Office suite. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Reliable, eager to learn, and able to work with minimal direction. Experience & Education A two-year degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field, or equivalent military training, plus four years of applicable calibration/Metrology experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
