Abilities for production, merchandising, and customer services related to preparation and sale of products.
Understanding of key components of department operations.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
Desired
Meat work experience or similar experience in food preparation.
Dependability and integrity in work history.
Customer relations through friendliness and courtesy; adherence to company policies; assist in store security.
Maintain department temperature logs and train others on temperature logging accuracy.
Pricing, signage, product rotation, and space allocation for merchandise.
Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
Train and develop Meat department employees with emphasis on customer courtesy and productivity.
Implement company programs and maintain a harassment- and discrimination-free work environment.
Participate in hiring, firing, disciplining, and evaluating department staff; promote and communicate company initiatives and process improvements.
Manage workload, supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment; manage conflict constructively; act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
