Position Summary The Direct Sales team is crucial to the success of our entire company. As a Direct Sales Representative reporting to the Director, Sales & Customer Relations, you will focus on new and re-market sales initiatives within our Zelienople markets. You will contact residential customers in the communities we serve, meeting customers at their homes to offer the best broadband and telephone solutions to meet their individual needs. Your goal is to provide customers with a unique and convenient buying experience.

What You’ll Be Doing
Preferred candidates with experience selling direct to consumer; yet the right candidate will be trained.
Capable of selling products and services, including Internet, Telephone and ancillary products.
Effective in‑person communicator with excellent people skills and ability to describe features, answer questions, identify and overcome objections.
Independent and highly self‑motivated with an exceptional work ethic.
Able to negotiate effectively and in a professional manner.
Provide a quality Armstrong experience on every customer contact by introducing/ promoting Armstrong services positively and resolving issues.
Meet established individual goals and requirements for sales, sell‑in percentages, work order accuracy and other KPIs.
Achieve established daily, weekly and monthly sales targets and quotas.
Understand the importance of a consultative sales flow, asking appropriate questions to determine customer needs.
Believe in and promote Armstrong’s robust broadband services to customers, friends, families and neighbors. Enjoy being an Armstrong Ambassador.
Reconcile daily sales orders and keep documentation of sales orders / sales funnels.
Accurately enter order information into an ICOMS billing system, protecting all private customer information.
Must be collaborative, flexible, and a team player. Work closely with local system office staff (including BNLT: GM, OM, CMM, CSR, PT etc.).
Work special events and related projects as required.
What You’ll Need
Sales experience or sales acumen.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Customer service experience.
PC / Tablet and data entry proficiency.
Must be very organized.
Positive attitude and capable of understanding the power of change.
Understand and appreciate the value of a variable pay compensation plan based on target attainment.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, walk (and stand) for extensive periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Willingness to travel – some overnight(s) sometimes over extended periods.
Ability to work over time during some evenings, weekends, holidays and peak seasons.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and applicable auto insurance.
