About Orthopaedics We’re developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. Our Orthopaedics teams keep more than 6 million people moving each year while delivering clinical and economic value to surgeons and healthcare systems. We build solutions for joint reconstruction; trauma and craniomaxillofacial; sports, extremities, and elective foot and ankle; spine; and robotics and digital surgery.
Purpose The Regional Manager, Sports Medicine is a sales leadership role responsible for the Johnson and Johnson Sports portfolio. The role leads sales strategies, activities, operations, and budgets to drive sales in the Utah region.
You Will Be Responsible For
Demonstrate product and procedural knowledge, clinical and procedure excellence, and new product introduction experience.
Recruit, hire, and retain a diverse sales team, ensuring all territories are filled with qualified professionals.
Leverage market data tools for customer targeting, business planning, and pipeline management.
Provide ongoing performance management, mentorship, and career development of the sales team.
Lead territory acquisition, build new surgeon relationships, and assist consultants in penetrating existing accounts.
Understand changing market dynamics, industry trends, and customer segmentation.
Manage a product portfolio, meet sales, growth, and income targets, and improve profitability.
Handle business expenses responsibly, and build relationships with key surgeons and associations.
Participate in compliance programs and uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
Qualifications / Requirements
BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
At least 8 years of business and/or leadership experience, including 2 years of management experience.
Previous success in the Sports Medicine market preferred.
Participation in a Sales Leadership Development Program is advantageous.
Strong leadership capability and ability to lead through change.
Excellent written, oral, and listening communication skills.
Organizational skills and ability to deliver impactful sales presentations.
Strong customer understanding and ability to use data to drive the buying process.
Track record of mentoring and developing field sales talent.
Business planning and project management experience with documented sales achievement.
Other
Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
Must travel 30%–50% of the time.
Relocation or current residency in Utah required.
