Overview

Hitachi Rail Honolulu JV (HRH) is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated PSG Technician to work on our Honolulu Rail Project. The position is based in Pearl City/Honolulu, HI. The successful candidate will contribute ideas for continuous improvement and creativity. Responsibilities

Performs routine, preventive and unscheduled maintenance, inspection, adjustments, testing, cleaning, lubrication and proper maintenance on assigned PSG (Platform Screen Gates) equipment in accordance with wiring diagrams, schematics, operations and maintenance manuals. Observes PSG system components and devices in operation to detect potential failures and locate causes of malfunction. Responds to PSG malfunctions and completes repairs as assigned. Uses electronic test equipment and other specialized tools as required. Completes assigned operational, equipment failure, safety, and other reports as required. Participates in training programs as required. Complies with Safety Rules, Operating Rulebook, and first-aid procedures. Supports shift rotation weekends and holidays typical of major infrastructure projects and operating transit systems. Works in close proximity to the third rail; may require Red Tag, LOTOs and hot stick application. Performs related duties as required. Ensures execution and recording of maintenance reports and inspection tasks, and maintains accurate maintenance records and diagnostics data using a computerized maintenance management system. Supports substation fault diagnosis, inspection, testing, modification, maintenance, and repair. Ensures corrective and preventative maintenance tasks are executed in compliance with the company safety policy and local regulations. Drives work vehicles when responding to emergencies and when required on duty. Ensures maintenance tools and equipment are calibrated and in good condition. Performs simple failure analysis and technical investigations. Performs additional duties on unrelated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic controlled systems in accordance with training and qualifications. Required Education/Skills

1-3 years experience in electronic equipment maintenance Ability to use common and specialized tools and test equipment Knowledge of safety rules regarding lock-out protection while working on the line and traffic protection Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturers\' maintenance instructions, and the Operating Rulebook Benefits and Additional Information
