Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to support the Banquet department at our gorgeous property, Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel. The
Banquet Manager
is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage service during events, ensuring that all functions meet our high standards of quality and service. The Banquet Manager provides guidance and leadership to the Captains and Banquet Servers, ensuring seamless execution of events. The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week. Essential Functions

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Maintains complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards; maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Uses equipment only as intended. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons. Greet guests as they arrive and assist them with seating at tables. Knowledgeable on hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management. Open and serve wine/champagne bottles. Serve all food courses and beverage items to guests in accordance with function requirements and Hotel standards. All other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications
The Company may consider equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities cited below. Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED Two or more years of related Banquet experience Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred One (1) year of supervisory experience in banquets/catering Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills Must be knowledgeable about health department standards Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, push and pull, lift frequently up to 35 lbs Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications Compensation and Benefits
