We are seeking an experienced and energetic Daycare Assistant Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you! Desired Skills and Experience:
CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (Preferred or willing to obtain) Completed 6 core ECE Units Infant/toddler OR Associates Degree in Child Development Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors Ability to engage physically, visually, and compassionately with children, parents, and peers Classroom management skills: ability to ensure a safe and engaging environment All center staff applicants must meet Illinois-specific guidelines for the role Responsibilities:
Evaluate student progress with classroom Lead and Co-Teachers Plan curriculum with varying developmental needs with Lead and Co-Teachers Track academic performance with Lead and Co-Teachers Be mentored by Lead and/or Co-Teacher if Co-Teacher is qualified to Lead Meet with parents to discuss the needs and goals of students Meet with Lead and Co-Teachers weekly for lesson planning development
