Berry Aviation, Inc We are looking for an experienced leader to set the vision and team spirit for our FBO. The FBO Manager is responsible for the complete oversight of Berry Aviation, Inc. (BAI) Fixed Base Operations daily processes, including customer service, fuel sales, hangar and office properties. Customer service is the primary focus, ensuring customer needs are met or exceeded. The role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers, governing agencies, and the airport authority. The FBO Manager will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee activities related to general aviation ground support services, aircraft fueling, line operations, hangar facilities, and the FBO staff. The FBO Manager also serves as Facilities Manager, coordinating the use and maintenance of six Berry Aviation facilities in San Marcos, Texas. Responsibilities
Plans, directs, and coordinates all FBO operations in accordance with Berry Aviation, FAA, airport, and other governmental and environmental agencies, policies and regulations Provides strong leadership to the FBO team through clear communication, motivation, structured actions, and a positive work environment to achieve high service levels and minimize employee relations issues Manages and drives the financial performance of the FBO, including revenue, expenditures, and staffing levels to meet or exceed budgets and goals Ensures friendly and efficient service to customers and adherence to all customer service, line service, and ground support procedures Responsible for staffing actions, including hiring, dismissal, discipline, evaluation, priority setting, and counseling with HR coordination Supports existing relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders and establishes new relationships Responsible for FBO tenant contracts, including negotiation and enforcement Ensures accounting practices are performed per required standards and regulations Determines training needs and enhances training programs to maintain safety, customer service, line service, and ground support excellence Develops ideas to improve FBO operations Manages all aspects of fuel operations, including fuel truck safety, fuel inventory, cost and margin control, fuel quality, inspections, repairs, and regulatory record-keeping Ensures FBO compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and other regulations (e.g., OSHA, TCEQ, Airport Authority) Assumes additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by the President and delegates as needed Qualifications
Valid driver’s license Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening, background check, and employment verification At least five (5) years of supervisory experience (Aviation preferred) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Strong initiative, execution, and organizational skills Strong business acumen, persuasion, and negotiation skills Commitment to results Education
High school diploma or equivalent required College or vocational degree in business, Aviation Management, or a related field is desired Preferred
At least 5 years of previous management experience (Aviation preferred) Experience in customer service Proficiency in Microsoft Office Physical/Environmental Requirements
