About the Role We are seeking a Production Test Technician for our Discrete Products Group (DPG) in Simsbury, which specializes in RF products such as Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) components and modules. The technician will test, adjust, tune, and troubleshoot prototype and production SAW components and modules, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
Set up RF vector network analyzer test equipment for specific tests.
Collect test data and prepare detailed reports.
Perform product analysis and testing using specialized equipment.
Communicate test results to relevant departments.
Ensure safety and proper handling of samples.
Maintain calibration of equipment.
Participate in quality control activities and document inspections.
Follow company procedures for analysis and testing.
Implement continuous process improvements.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of RF-related experience or training.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Troubleshooting skills for electronic equipment.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical documents and schematics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Soldering skills and certification (J-STD-001) preferred.
Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Capability to manipulate small objects under a microscope.
Additional Information Preferred qualifications include experience in manufacturing, RF electronics knowledge, participation in continuous improvement activities, and familiarity with quality systems like ISO 9001 and Lean Manufacturing.
This position does not require travel. Physical attributes include handling, hearing, seeing, working alone, and working around others. The job involves sitting (60%) and standing/walking (40%).
