in Nashville, Tennessee✨

The Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center is located in Downtown Nashville, right next to the Tennessee Titans stadium. We are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment for at-risk youth. As part of our team, you’ll help provide care and supervision for young individuals awaiting trial, offering a mix of education, counseling, medical and recreation services. You’ll monitor activities, document behavior, and assist in various programs to support the growth and development of youth aged 12-18. Pay & Schedule Pay : $20.50 - $21.50 per hour based on education and experience. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period

Schedule:

4 days on/3 off – 3 days on/4 off

Day Shift: 7am – 8pm (12-hour shift, 1 hour break)

Night Shift: 7pm – 8am (12-hour shift, 1 hour break)

What you will do

A Night Juvenile Corrections Officer provides in person safety and security around-the-clock.

Provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development.

Provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the youth’s needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities; and participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities.

Collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan.

Qualifications To be considered you should:

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; be at least 21 years of age; be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test; be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.

Education : Required – High School

Experience : Preferred – Working with at-risk youth in a correctional setting
