Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Business Unit: Maintenance & Repair North America Posting Date: Aug 25, 2025 Job Description: The Technician is responsible for overhauling and repairing aircraft oxygen masks, cylinders, fire extinguishers, and other aviation components. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Overhaul and repair fire extinguishers, oxygen masks, cylinder/regulator assemblies. • Receive equipment and perform product inspections. • Complete work orders and related paperwork. • Test equipment using pressure gauges and flow meters. • Troubleshoot mechanical issues following maintenance manuals. • Torque regulators to cylinders according to OEM specifications. • Hydrostatically test oxygen cylinders. Education : High School Diploma or GED required. A&P certification is strongly preferred. Experience : 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in using hand tools. Experience working with high-pressure oxygen. Aircraft industry experience is preferred. Qualifications : Ability to read and interpret blueprints, parts manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods. Must perform work accurately and thoroughly. Must pass FAA pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Typical Working Conditions : Work is primarily indoors in a shop environment. Exposure to heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals may occur when moving between buildings or when bay doors are open for shipping and receiving. PPE such as safety glasses and safety-toed shoes are required in designated areas. Essential Physical Tasks : Must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach with hands and arms. Regular use of hands and fingers for handling, holding, and grabbing.
