Adjunct Teacher Education faculty are needed to teach classes at the Community College of Baltimore County in pk-12 Literacy. Classes may include in-person during the day, remote synchronously in the evening, and 100% online through CCBC\'s learning management system.

Adjunct faculty are expected to prepare and deliver instruction, monitor student progress, cooperate with college support staff, and participate in required trainings and meetings. Adjunct Faculty are selected based on the needs of the program, applicant proficiency, course availability, and student enrollment.

Interested candidates are encouraged to indicate their availability during the semester and in which modality (in-person, online, etc.) they would like to be considered. If in-person is possible, please indicate preferred campus(es).

Locations: Essex, Dundalk, & Essex

Level 1 - $1,050 per credit hour

Minimum Requirements

Master\'s degree in education-related field required. M.Ed. Reading Education or Reading Specialist preferred.

Five (5) years of teaching experience in pk-12 setting with at least three (3) as a reading specialist required. College teaching experience preferred. Mentoring and/or coaching experience preferred.

Expert knowledge of literacy assessments, interventions and instruction required. Working knowledge of the Science of Reading preferred.

Proficient working with learning management systems.

Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge.
