Search, book, fingerprint, photograph incoming prisoners, and house inmates by classification. Maintain jail security through observation, searches, and discipline. Ensure inmates have access to hygiene and welfare needs. Transport prisoners to court, medical facilities, and other locations; process releases. Log court dispositions, write reports, and maintain files. Process visitors and personal property. Assign work to trustees and distribute meals, ensuring cells are cleared afterward. Notify medical personnel when needed and administer medications. Monitor surveillance equipment and other job-related equipment. Handle incoming calls and relay messages appropriately. Attend training and shift meetings; apply job skills on duty. Respond to disturbances, medical crises, escapes, fires, or disasters. Prepare reports, memos, and log entries via handwritten, typed, or computer methods. Perform related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or G.E.D. US Citizen or lawful permanent resident with proficiency in English. Minimum age of 18 at appointment. Valid Washington State Driver's license or ability to obtain one. Meet Clallam County Civil Service requirements (see above Disqualifier). Willing to undergo a background check, drug screen, polygraph, psychological, and physical exams.
