Patrol designated areas of the County to deter and discover crime. Perform investigations at crime scenes. Aid persons in trouble and provide public services. Enforce traffic and parking ordinances; investigate collisions. Operate radar units to confirm speed violations. Check vehicle IDs against stolen vehicle lists and identify violators. Issue citations, serve warrants, and arrest suspects. Handcuff and search arrestees; secure custody. Complete reports on crimes, evidence, and witnesses. Serve legal documents such as subpoenas and writs. Respond to crime reports, secure scenes, and interview involved parties. Gather evidence, conduct searches, and prepare case files. Receive firearms and weapons training. Testify in court and perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or G.E.D. US Citizen or lawful permanent resident with English proficiency. Minimum age of 21 at appointment. Valid Washington State Driver's License. Meet Clallam County Civil Service requirements. Willing to undergo background checks, drug screening, polygraph, psychological, and physical exams.
