Overview
Propio Language Services is closing the language gap by connecting people anywhere and anytime through innovative technology and solutions. Propio provides critical interpreting and translation services that improve quality of life with communities we engage in, offering remote and on-site services in more than 350 languages for over 6,000 clients with a diverse staff and a network of over 8,000 contract interpreters. We currently have a need for Onsite Contract Interpreters in the Austin, Texas area who are passionate about using their language skills to help people. Contract Responsibilities
Provides consecutive in-person and virtual interpretation by phone and video remote for first-person interactions. Follows interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio Language Services clients. Follows all Propio Language Services policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics. Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards. Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical staff. Continuously improves vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge for various clients, such as medical, legal, social services, etc. Requirements
Submission of updated Resume in English at time of application. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Intermediate level computer skills. Access to reliable transportation. Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations as required by location and policies (e.g., TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B or declination, TDAP, Seasonal Influenza, and Covid). Successful completion of a drug test and Background Check & Security Screen. A signed commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and HIPAA compliance. Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of interpreting experience. Evaluation and Standards
