Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly; respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously; assist with meeting video gaming needs; inform guests of promotions; recommend items; apply selling behaviors during transactions; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using POS; handle transactions, bag merchandise, provide receipts, and maintain high levels of guest service. Respond to guest questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager as needed. Promote GameStop benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-ins, Pro Rewards).

Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies and procedures. Observe associate performance and provide feedback; address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule store associates to meet staffing guidelines; supervise staffing levels to maintain guest service levels. Approve payroll, process paid time off, and verify time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure equipment is in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect company assets via inventory control and loss prevention; conduct safety checks and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Assist in achieving sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative tasks. Perform store inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions; manage closeout paperwork and daily bank deposits per guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and communicate findings to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls promptly; label boxes and packing lists correctly. Maintain safety awareness and promptly address hazards; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records in an organized manner and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States; at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/merchandising preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred; at least 2 years of retail sales/guest service/management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine, individualized assistance to guests. Clear verbal and written communication; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team. Meet performance expectations and maintain attendance, appearance, safety, and professionalism. Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork accurately and follow written or verbal instructions. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Be reliable, trustworthy, and able to manage pressure; creative problem solver. Able to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs; basic physical requirements.
